Check eligibility before creating a profile
Business Profile is intended for eligible businesses that make in-person contact with customers. A purely online business may not qualify. Service-area businesses should follow the rules for displaying or hiding an address. Confirm the current requirements in Google’s business representation guidelines.
Use the real business identity
Use the name customers know rather than adding a string of search keywords. Choose the category that best describes the main business, then add relevant supported details. Keep phone numbers and website destinations current.
Make logistics easy
Review regular hours, special hours, appointment methods and actual service coverage. Show current, representative photos where you have permission. If customers need to book before visiting, make that expectation clear.
Build a fair review process
Invite genuine customers to share honest experiences. Do not offer incentives or route only satisfied customers to public review links. Respond professionally without disclosing private customer information.
Review changes regularly
Recheck the profile after a move, schedule change or service change. Track useful actions and enquiry quality rather than relying only on the number of views. Keep website information aligned with the profile.
